375 Mt. Pleasant Avenue Almost Complete
375 Mt. Pleasant Ave., the long time home of Organon, Inc., located in West Orange, New Jersey, was purchased by Mark Schavitz and Hampshire Real Estate Companies in 2008. The Walsh Company was hired as the Construction Manager to oversee the re-development of the entire 110,000 SF property including the renovations of the building and the site. These renovations consisted of the removal of a center portion of the building to create a new court yard along with an entire new window, curtain wall system. Throughout 2009, all of the building's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure was replaced. The lobby will be finished in February 2010 and the site work will be completed in early Spring 2010. Steve Pellegrino, Project Executive is overseeing the project, Rotwein & Blake is the Architect, and John Weisgerber is the Engineer.
The use of the building has been redefined as medical condominiums. The first tenant, Diagnostic Clinical Cardiologists, moved into a 15,000 SF unit in early March 2009. The Walsh Company oversaw the construction and move as Owners Representative for the property.
Recently in December 2009, The Prostate Care Center of New Jerset and the Urology Group of NJ moved into a 13,000 SF space. The Walsh Company was both the Construction Manager and the General Contractor for this job, while Steve Pellegrino worked on behalf of the Owner.
